I WRITE ALL MY JOKES IN CAPITALS! THIS ONE WAS WRITTEN IN COPENHAGEN!

Warning: updates are never going to be on time.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Since my last update, I have explored more of Copenhagen. Through this exploring I have discovered my homing abilities. I can always find my way back to my apartment, no maps necessary. It's like mapic.

This blog entry is going to be about my two biggest adventures since my last entry. So my first one, started from my school and I got on the metro to get off at a random stop, which happened to be Frederiksberg (the d and the g are silent).

By the middle of this adventure, I was quite hungry because it was lunch time. But I decided to keep walking and I found this hole in the wall restaurant. In case you forgot, I do not speak the language of the Danes aka jeg taler ikke dansk. So here I am in this restaurant where I'm the only English speaker, so I look on the menu and the only thing I recognize is Zaatar (thanks Grammy!). So I end up ordering zaatar manakish.

I dough love zaatar, man(akish)!

It may have been one of my least expensive meals, but it definitely has been one of my favorites. After that, I found my way back home to nap off my food coma. But here are some more pictures from my day exploring:

Those stripy roofs were what pointed out to me that I was near my apartment.

Random Denmarkian flag just hanging on a wall? At least it's a big plus that our paths crossed!

My second adventure was a walking tour around the neighborhood where I live. It was so cool here is our route:

The first place we walked to was the park Superkilen which contains gifts from all over the world. The park is split into three areas: the green park, the black market, and the red square. Nørrebro is one of the most diverse places in Copenhagen due to it being a popular place for immigrants to stay, and to show off this AMAZING diversity the city built this park.

Here are just a few of the pieces found in Superkilen, who knew my backyard was so cool!

My favorite piece is small in one of the photos, I like it a HOLE lot. Donut double guess yourself. If you ever get the chance to visit, I highly suggest this super(kilen) park. I honestly cannot wait to see it in the spring. To give you an idea about how many different pieces from around the world there are, here is the map of the park:

108 different gifts from around the world

After the park we went to the site of the old youth house. It was burned down after riots started between the young people of Copenhagen and the police.

All that's left is this little green park

We walked down the main road of Nørrebro to see all the different shops and restaurants before we ended up at the Blågårds Plads, which is a square that ended up being an infirmary when the English fleet destroyed the Danish fleet over whose fleet was bigger. (Spoiler: it was the English).

To wrap up this post because it's long enough, here are some pictures of the sunset from apartment!

Are twin brothers called sunsets?

Next blog entry should be Germany!!! I need to find out if it's the best or the wurst.
